Allowah's New Year Message and New Pricing Info

PLEASE READ
20 Dec 2006

Well, it's that time of year again when we make our resolutions, committing ourselves to making 2007 at least a little better than 2006, and hopefully a lot better.
For myself, one of my resolutions is to provide even higher quality classes for you. One way that I hope to do that is to share more depth with you inside and outside of class, and to be more available to you -- through this email list, our special events like the movie night, and other times when we can get together and talk, meditate, make music, dance, and otherwise commune.

As far as the "depth" that I mentioned, I would like to say this: When I first arrived in Naples almost exactly four years ago, I was very excited to share what I had learned from six years of deep engagement with the yoga tradition. The problem was that at that time I did not have the resources or space to "open shop" and actually bring it all to the public awareness. I settled for teaching what were essentially fitness classes at various places around town for a pittance, all the while hoping that some of the students would want to explore more deeply with me. Some of you did stay on, and I want to thank you deeply for your support and trust.

But now I feel it's time to go deeper than just the physical and mental aspects of yoga. So my first suggestion in this regard is to join me reading a new book by Eckhart Tolle (author of "The Power of Now") called "A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose." Angeliea and I have found this book to be really excellent, and we know that you also would find much in it to assist you on your life's journey. You can get it on Amazon and at Borders and Barnes and Noble. As the season and year progresses, I will frequently refer to the book, and hopefully we can discuss some of the book's truths, both here and in class.
One other way that you can assist me in keeping my resolution: By yourself resolving and committing to go further in your practice and life. A simple way to begin: Come to class! I have a lot to share with you. On that note, I want to make my classes a little more financially reasonable for you, and so I've written out a new pricing schedule for the New Year. My intention is to encourage you to commit to a series of classes by giving you an incentive to do so. Yes, I did up the initial price for class a wee bit, but in the long run, you will save money by paying for a group of classes. So here it is...

***********************************************************

Pricing for Yoga (Special for December and January only)

Group (3 or more students)

$20 to drop-in.

$17/class for 10 class card ($170), good for 3 months. $30 savings.

$15/class for 20 class card ($300), good for 6 months. $100 savings.

$13/class for 30 class card ($390), good for 9 months. $210 savings.

Note:

I need at least 24 hours advance notice (barring emergencies) if you cannot make it to class, otherwise you will be charged for the class.

I also must give you 24 hours advance notice, or your next class is on me.

Also, I would prefer not to call you and bother you about classes. I will email you each week with the class schedule (which will not vary much week to week). Please email me or call me if you know you are coming.

$75 per individual session.

$55/session for 10 sessions paid in advance ($550). $200 savings.

$45/session for 20 sessions paid in advance ($900). $600 savings.

$35/session for 30 sessions paid in advance ($1,050). $1,100 savings.
