Throughout my life I have always been attracted to health and fitness and found

that a healthy lifestyle ensured a life of good health and happiness.  From the age of

12 I started playing tennis competitively through to my college years.  From there

started to teach aerobics at a local gym for women and I immediately developed a

passion for teaching others to maintain their health by staying in shape.

After each one of my five children’s birth, I worked hard to get back in the physical

place it needed to be to function at a healthy level.  I enjoyed eating right and

walking as it positively impacted my overall happiness.  After all of my children

were old enough, I knew it was time to put forth to my community what I knew

best and that was; fitness.

My passion for health eventually led to an interest in Yoga and Nutrition.  Soon

after, I was certified by Venice Nutrition System to be a Nutrition Coach.

Following that I finished my 200 hour Yoga Certification.

The year of 2008 brought me some great experiences with teaching yoga to

children, teens, adults, and seniors.

I was trained in different Yoga Styles: Hatha Yoga, Chair Yoga, Power Yoga,

Pranayama Techniques (breathing), and Meditation Techniques

-        Taught yoga to 2nd and 3rd graders at Veteran Memorial Elementary

School prior to FCAT testing

-        Taught yoga to St. John Neumann High School girl’s basketball team to

help them gain strength and balance for the game.  Also talking to them about

their nutritional habits and helping them make better choices of foods to eat

prior to a game and during the season to boost their metabolism.

-        I teach chair yoga and movement to seniors in retirement homes.

-        I teach yoga to seniors with Alzheimer’s.

-        YMCA yoga sub

Working with these groups has brought me great joy, and will continue to work

with my community teaching yoga and educating about good nutrition.
